Memories

Two guys were sitting on the porch and discussing various things of importance when one of them wanted to recommend to the other the Chinese Restaurant that he and his wife had tried for the first time. Not being able to remember the name of the restaurant the guy asks, "What is the name of that flower, you know the one with lots of petals and thorns?" The friend says, "You mean the Rose"? And the guy says, "Yeah"! and calls out, "Rose, what was the name of that Chinese Restaurant that we went to the other night?"

Glory Glory Hallelujah!

George Sakato 92 years old and still an all around Bad Ass!
Go George and Thank you for your service! Go 442nd.
Private George T. Sakato distinguished himself by extraordinary heroism in action on 29 October 1944, on hill 617 in the vicinity of Biffontaine, France. After his platoon had virtually destroyed two enemy defense lines, during which he personally killed five enemy soldiers and captured four, his unit was pinned down by heavy enemy fire. Disregarding the enemy fire, Private Sakato made a one-man rush that encouraged his platoon to charge and destroy the enemy strongpoint. While his platoon was reorganizing, he proved to be the inspiration of his squad in halting a counter-attack on the left flank during which his squad leader was killed. Taking charge of the squad, he continued his relentless tactics, using an enemy rifle and P-38 pistol to stop an organized enemy attack. During this entire action, he killed 12 and wounded two, personally captured four and assisted his platoon in taking 34 prisoners. By continuously ignoring enemy fire, and by his gallant courage and fighting spirit, he turned impending defeat into victory and helped his platoon complete its mission. Private Sakato's extraordinary heroism and devotion to duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit on him, his unit, and the United States Army.

Lip Service

You see it frequently
you've heard it recently.
You try to not seem common
you did not have sex with that woman.
But it's not the photo ops
It's not the lies you tell the Cops.
It's the lack of integrity
That reveals your vanity
and foretells your insanity.
The pictures are cute if only,
They were not so phony.
From your pose to your smile
They miss love by a mile.
You don't know what it is,
you never have known it.
Love is warm, love is soft,
 it's shown in the eyes.
In your eyes there are only lies.

No Beef.

Two Cows were standing in a field and one said, "Moo."
The other cow said, "Hey that's what I was going to say."

I say that they both should get awards,
as they are both outstanding in their field.

Oh Nuts

Apparently according to the Almond growers of Northern California, Almonds are Almonds when they are on the tree, but they are Amonds once harvested. Due to the fact that to pick Almonds you must shake the L out of them.

Forget Something?

Usually I say I have to go upstairs and change into someone who wants to go work out. Yesterday I ran up and changed and then came down stairs to change my shoes. As I got down stairs we heard something fall down in the shop and went to investigate. We found nothing, but then my husband wanted to show me some pretty wood that he milled for a new guitar that he is making. I was running late by then and grabbed my purse and headed for the car. When I arrived at my work out class in my flip flops , I was embarrassed. Of course I told my husband when I came home," look what you let me do!" We all had a good laugh.

See You Later

What do you call an alligator with a compass?
A Navigator.

What do you call an alligator that likes to start trouble?
An Instigator.

Why are alligators cold blooded?
Because they are refrigergators.

Once you get started you can hardly contain yourself.

Too Punny

We saw a nice couple today. A good looking young man in a turban with a nice looking young lady. They said to us as they were walking by, "We're looking for the lady that does Alterations." The other ladies knew who the couple was looking for and directed them. But, all I could think was, Seek and Ye shall Find. Of course only in the nicest way.

Happy Mother's Day!

We don't do it for thanks, gifts, or ourselves. We do it because we love our children. We do it because from the minute they arrive in our lives, they are the most important thing in the world. Because we are changed forever. We are Mother's no matter who our children are, no matter what they do, no matter what the cost, in time or otherwise, they still matter more than ourselves, our dreams or our desires. I have heard it said that a Mother is only as happy as her unhappiest child. I have found this to be true and my greatest desire is to see happiness and fulfillment in my children. My sweetest love goes out to all you Mother's who give and give and love and understand and listen and take time from your lives for the betterment of Mankind.

Is My Time Up?

A 65 year old woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital.
While on the operating  table she had a near death experience. Seeing God,
she asked, "Is my time up?"
God said, "No, you have another 33  years, 2 months and 8 days to live."
Upon recovery, the woman decided to stay in the hospital and have a
face-lift, liposuction, breast implants and a tummy tuck.
She even  had someone come in and change her hair color and brighten her
teeth! Since she had so much time left to live, she figured she might as well
make the most of it.
After her  last operation, she was released from the hospital. While crossing the street on her way home, she was killed
by an ambulance.

Arriving in front of God, she demanded, "I thought you said I had another 33 years? Why didn't you pull  me from out of the path of that
Ambulance?"

God replied: " I didn't recognize  you."

The Love of a Friend

We had just finished up dinner when the telephone rang. It was Katy, my Mother-in-law's 94 year old friend.
She was alarmed that after dropping Josie off following a shopping trip that she could not be reached by telephone. She had been calling since 6:00 and the phone was busy. Katy sent her grandson over to check on Josie and she had the draperies pulled and her car was not covered. So of course we jumped in the car and made the 15 mile drive out to her home. Luckily we found the keys to Mom's house and opened the door to find Josie watching TV and dosing on the sofa. She was surprised to see us and we were joyous that she was fine and found that her Telephone just wasn't turned off. We talked and visited and laughed, thank God we laughed and got to enjoy her company. We called Katy and told her everything was fine. We called Kevin's Brother and told him everything was fine. What a great friend Josie has in Katy. Katy was sorry to have alarmed us, but we were really thankful for her concern and love.
We Love You Mom!
