Wow! We sure made the right decision when we got Joshua a wagon for Christmas. This is what the ride home from the park looks like when you have played and played and played.

 It reminds me of cooking a big meal. You spend all day, maybe even start the day before. You set the table, serve the food, sit down and moments later everyone is done eating. They enjoyed the meal, 

that's great. But it is over so soon. We all had a lovely Christmas and hope you did too. Today is Mother's Christmas, at least that is what I call it. Time for clean up and reflection. Kevin got a double yolk for breakfast and has decided that next year will be very good. That is half the battle. Yeah!

Socks

      So my friend's husband asked her for socks for Christmas. She said, "Okay, how many"? 

                                                  I couldn't resist, "I said probably 2".

Is Your Line Busy?

I love this. It is a great reminder that your child needs your time and attention more than Christmas Cookies that look perfect, bows that are straight, and presents that are expensive. Youth is a fleeting thing, don't miss out trying to make everything just right, because enjoying your children and playing with them is the best right you have.

         There is something so wrong about this. I think it is a good way to get on Santa's Naughty list.

The Day Has Come

                A Rowan Pattern. Very cute! Now that it is done I may have a bit of my life back.

It is not at all funny!

It is not alright in any way that something like this has happened yet again. Is it possible that with all the news reports about these horrific events, that it in some way glorifies them, to the point that the next sick freak gets the idea that he too can be counted among these murderous fiends? We have lost 20 beautiful children, six adults, the gunman's mother, and the gunman. Enough said. It is not about the gun laws, it is about mental health and the glorification of murderers. I highly doubt that this kids mother purchased that kind of gun, a bullet proof vest or several hand guns. If so, What? If not how did this kid get around the registration rules?  Yes, we want to know the answers to our questions, but I say limit the amount of News about this. If we don't watch, they won't run it.

My Wife Can Fix It

So my turn signal went out and the light on the dash board came on to let me know. I said, "God I don't have time for this and I really need this turn signal to work again". And the turn signal started to work again. Then the headlight on the same side went out and I thought okay, and I told my husband that it was out. He said he would fix it, but he didn't have time. So we went out to dinner and on the way home the police officer pulled me over to ask if the car I was driving was mine and if I knew that the headlight was out. I said, "Yes, a light on the dash lets me know that the light is out and then my husband said, " that he thought that something was loose, because the turn signal was out and now it isn't." The policeman said to get it fixed, but was kind enough to not give me a ticket. I went out the next morning and pulled the headlight out and found that it was blown, so my husband went and got a new light bulb from the parts store and the parts guy said he would put it in. The two men went out to the car and fumbled around for awhile and my husband admitted that his wife had taken it out and he would just have her put it back together. Well the parts man couldn't deal with this guy making his wife fix the car so he persisted until he finally got the light bulb installed. I think I should have just asked God. 

I will finish it!

                 I am trying to finish a sweater for my Grandson. It is not a laughing matter.

The Upside Downside of Tree Transportation

Hwy 17 is one of the most dangerous strips of road in California. We saw this driver with his Christmas tree hanging upside down by            a string as he cruised down the road at 65 mph. WOW!

Here Comes Santa Clause!

We walked downtown to see the Christmas Tree Lighting and guess who was there and who brought him. Santa Clause and the Los Gatos Fire Department brought him. So not only did a happy Elf named Patty help Joshua sit on Santa Clause (Chris Kringle's)  lap but Joshua became an honorary member of the LGFD in the same evening. OH OH OH what fun we had.

And if you screwed up your typing you needed to use white out or retype the entire page. You had to look things up in the dictionary, research at the library, and drive around to find the best price. We could go on and on. 

Oh Baby!

My Sons always kid their Father about being the most interesting man in the World. If that is the case, then this was definitely Kevin as a baby.  

Only You

No one can make you mad. Only you can do that. No one can ruin your day. Only you can allow that. Make up your mind that everyday is too important to waste on anything silly like not being happy. Tell a joke, spread some cheer, do something nice for someone that loves you, or even someone you just met. And by all means, smile now and often.

                     I know a few people who live on this street. At least in their minds.

Pomegranate Soda

While my husband and I were out shopping we treated ourselves to a Pomegranate Soda, cold from the checkout line at Cost Plus. On our way home as we were enjoying our soda, I asked him, "Isn't Pomegranate supposed to be good for our brains?"  He answered immediately, "I hope so".
