Cowboy Poet
Kevin and I went up to Felton's Don Quixote restaurant to see Gary McMahan perform. He was quite a treat. His songs were funny and well written and his performance made us laugh and you could almost feel the winds of the prairie whistle through your hair. I also realized that I had so much to be grateful for, at least Kevin, my accordion playing husband, never took up Yodeling. http://youtu.be/ySGIsHr7x3I

They Both Worked Hard Today!
We went up to Eli and Mimi's house today and we all worked really hard. Kevin drove and Becky and Zach rode in the front seat. Dan, a big fellow, rode in back with Joshua. Joshua was a little freaked out driving through the forest at night, so 'Uncle Dan' held his hand. It must have soothed them both. Pretty Darn Cute.

So Tired of It.
I keep hearing about how we should vote to keep the politicians in Sacramento away from the tax money that is supposed to go to our schools. Billions of Dollars they say. I say check out how much the Superintendents of our schools make, usually over $200,000.00 a year. Check out how many of them there actually are. Check out just what they are actually responsible for. Check out how difficult it is to get rid of them when they are useless. Then check out how much you take home in pay. Let's get real people. We are trying to support a few, at the expense of our students. It has been a long time since our students were a priority. I believe there are a lot of people riding on fluffy government jobs, that we are paying for. We have some really nice school remodels going on around here, but the students are still coming out without the abilities necessary to compete in the Universities or in job markets. It is obscene. The teacher's union certainly uses the money they collect from the teachers to buy and pay for the political ads on TV in an effort to get these bills passed. They should outlaw political ads of all kinds from Television. It makes no sense to allow it when the special interest money collected to pay for it must be paid back in favors from those elected. I am sure the teacher's could use that money much better if it was left in their pockets. But we keep allowing this crap to continue. Isn't that so funny?
